Corporations have a tone about their copy when they feel a bit miffed. Microsoft does 'miffed' quite well. Apple doesn't do 'miffed' - it does 'angry', 'smug' or 'dismissive', but miffed is rare. I've been reading a Microsoft document on what it calls slate computing that sounds very miffed indeed. Perhaps, for a change, rightly so.
