FIRM SIZE
We used the Legal 500 as a benchmark for Firm Size as follows:
Large – Top 100 Law firms
Medium – Top 500 Law firms
Small – Firms outside Top 500

REGIONS BREAKDOWN

London Region includes all central London areas.

South Region includes Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Middlesex, Sussex, Surrey, Kent.

Midlands & North Region includes Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Westmorland, Durham, Northumberland, Cumberland.

US Law Firm Survey is based on American Law firms with branch offices in the UK.  Currently these are almost entirely London based.
