Kain Knight has been delivering professional law costs services to solicitors for 30 years expanding over that time to become one of the largest firms of Costs Draftsmen in the United Kingdom.

As a Company we have unrivalled experience in all aspects of costs with clients ranging from top ten corporate firms of solicitors to small high street practitioners. We currently act for many large blue chip companies and government bodies and have also been involved in a number of notable landmark cases such as the Bloody Sunday Inquiry, Hepatitis C Litigation and Callery v. Gray.

Our Staff

We have 90 members of staff located in offices in London, Hertfordshire, Kent and the Midlands.

Our resources and expertise are geared to deal with any costing eventuality from small family matters to large complicated multi million pound actions. With such a large contingent of staff we are able to act immediately to provide a single Draftsman or a complete team of Draftsmen to meet your costing requirements.

Every Kain Knight Draftsman is required to undertake the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen (ALCD) Accredited Training Programme which ensures that our clients receive the best possible advice and our Draftsmen benefit from continuing professional development.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accredited In-house Costs Briefings are held quarterly for all of our Draftsmen. In addition Deputy Costs Judge Jennifer James regularly conducts costs seminars for our clients acting as our Consultant.
