"One measure I find useful is expected pay days. I can take a look at our clients who typically pay well within our firm guidelines and see which are 'late' based on their past history. Typically, we find that the invoice got lost, but we wouldn't have known this for many more days. Redwood allows us to be proactive in managing our A/R."

"I use the profitability module to determine performance of partners as originating and billing attorneys. I also use it to assess client and practice area profitability and track utilization. I am able to look at where we're doing well, where not, and how to improve. Sometimes, I'm asked for reports on the fly, such as in consideration of alternate fee arrangements or rate reviews."
