One of the hotly debated questions over the last 10 years has been the notion of an open plan law firm. Some have tried it and others shunned this solution for the more traditional cellular working environment.

Gensler will be exploring the best practices for cellular office layouts and studying and comparing it to a more experimental wallless office solution, which falls between open plan and cellular.

We will bring together a panel of leading experts in the fields of quantity surveying, mechanical engineering, technology and sustainability to fully assess the differences between the two layouts regarding capital cost, life cycle cost, sustainability, acoustics, churn/flexibility, the effect of generational differences in the workplace and the effects on focus and collaboration.
