Joint bills in ARCs

Hi there

Just wondering if any of you have come across the issue in ARCs whereby joint bill information in automated-process reminders can be incorrect. There’s no fix available from Minisoft for any version,  so I guess people must have found work-rounds?  Any thoughts on the topic appreciated.
Thanks

Lee, can I ask what version of Elite and ARCS this problem is happening in and what data is appearing incorrectly.  Has MiniSoft acknowledged that this is a problem but there is no fix or they wont fix it?

Thanks for quick response!

This is ARCs version 6.6.18 and yes, Minisoft have said there’s no solution, it’s ‘the way ARCs works’ and they won’t be developing a fix for this limitation.  The very helpful guy on Support said he’s had quite a number of grumbles about it in the last few months, which is why I’m now asking around to see if anyone’s come up with a work-round!

The Elite version is 3.6 with EGR implemented.

The issue is that the reminders are not showing correct totals for the joint bills when trying to produce them by automated process for a location.  The only solution seems to be to run manually or firmwide - neither of which are very practical!

Best regards
Lee

I have been told by a few people that the only workaround is to run manually, even for v.6.8+.
Hopefully there will be a fix soon as joint billing (multi matter and multi client) is not new!
It is also important to make sure that Elite is set up and the billing is done correctly.
Good luck.
Keep us posted.

Just to add our 2 cents/pennies worth we’ve had this issue raised by several of our Elite clients and look forward to Minisoft’s feedback

Hi all,

Just to keep you all up to speed with progress.  You will see at the forthcoming user group that HGR changes the way that certain things are dealt with, including joint bills.  We are currently having a work around tested for joint bills.  We would be happy to speak to you about this matter.

Regards

David,

Is this a work round for the existing versions of ARCS? Any idea of a time frame on this fix?

David, As this appears to impact quite a few people perhaps you could ask if this requires a dedicated slot during the User Group meeting on 8 March, or arrange a separate group meeting for those clients that need to discuss this further.  Having everyone together will be better than you having to attend multiple client sites at different times.  We could then provide requirements and feedback on any testing and you could keep us informed of further developments.
