New civil billing module from DPS Software

DPS software has just announced their new Civil Billing module for E-Forms and bulk upload of the CMRF and CMSF forms.

DPS have a long history of working to develop systems that help practitioners meet LSC requirements. The latest changes affect family legal aid funding from 2010 and delivery transformation. The first release of this project from the LSC known as e-forms allows practices to complete and submit both CLS and CDS claim forms online. The second release is in regards with the sharing of information via a secured link to the LSC database.

This facility will allow Solicitors to undertake 75% of means testing and 25% of merits testing online with instant decisions. The last release affected is the certificated billing. This is the ability to file Claim 1, 1a and POAs online. This will allow firms to apply for prior authority for the disbursements.

The DPS civil billing takes full advantage of these changes, has data exchange facility that passes through information from the DPS to the LSC automatically with no user intervention.
