Ending Interview & Feedback

ENDING THE INTERVIEW AND FEEDBACK

Ending the Interview

When the interview is over you should always;

 • Thank the interviewer/s for their time

 • Express an interest in the position (only if you are genuinely interested!)

Feedback

One final yet very important aspect of interviewing is providing feedback.   This is more commonly required when using a Recruitment Consultancy although if you have applied direct to a vacancy or been referred by a friend, it is always worth feeding back positive thoughts to the interviewer.

Top Tip
When you come out of the interview, take the time to make a few notes about the interview, such as;

 • How long the interview lasted

 • Interviewees (were there any unexpected people you met?)

 • Type of questions asked by Interviewers and how you felt you responded

 • Questions you asked and if you were satisfied with responses

 • If you have any outstanding questions unanswered

 • Your immediate thoughts on the pros and cons of the role
