UNDERSTAND YOUR CV

A very common mistake is to attend an interview without having a thorough understanding of your own CV.

This may sound obvious as your CV is an account of your own life, but if your CV has been submitted via a Recruitment Consultancy it is always worth having a copy of what the interviewer received as well.

Things to be clear on include;

 • Dates of academics and professional qualifications and grades where relevant.

 • Dates of employment.

 • Be able to answer challenging questions on any gaps in your CV, academic results and motivations behind career moves etc.
