IRIS Legal nominated for legal award
IRIS Legal, the largest provider of software and IT services to UK law firms, is celebrating after being shortlisted for The Lawyer Awards 2012.
IRIS Legal has been nominated in the Best Technology Project category for its delivery of the hosted IRIS Meridian Law Connected project to No5 Chambers, one of the largest set of barristers’ chambers in England & Wales. The award recognises and highlights the on-going impact that innovation in technology has on the business of law.
The project was a complex integrated IT system spread across three UK chambers. As part of the agreement, worth more than £1m, No5 Chambers also outsourced all of its IT requirements to IRIS Legal and a full-time senior IRIS Legal employee will work on site on a day-to-day basis.
Jitendra Valera (JV), chief marketing officer at IRIS Legal, said:
“We’re delighted our work with No 5 Chambers has been recognised for making such a significant impact on operations.
“We pride ourselves on providing market-leading technology for law firms and barristers chambers, so they have a competitive advantage. Investment in the right legal technology can increase efficiencies, decrease costs and most importantly, improve client experience.”
The winner will be announced on 26 June, at a gala dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
The judging panel includes Roger Bickerstaff, partner at Bird & Bird, Janet Day, director at Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, Jan Durant, director at Lewis Silkin, Sue Hall, director at Linklaters and David Jabbari, partner at Clyde & Co.
