With UK business output at a seven-month high, firms have stated that their hiring intentions are also at record high levels.

The respected Accountant and business advisor BDO stated that their Optimism Index; which measures UK business output based on how companies expect to perform over the next six months; increased to 100.05 in March, up from 99.78 in February. It said that the rise went against the average long-term trend of 100 for any given month, and is the highest reading since August 2017.
