This week - on Tuesday 23 November - LSN team members Samantha Irvine and Sarah Cox took the legalsupportnetwork networking event love to Birmingham.

They pulled together nearly 50 people from Britain's second capital, representing 14 law firms alongside the College of Law and property specialists DTZ. Several of LSN's networkpartners supported the evening including Lucid Solutions (hospitality), Tikit (badges) and FWBS (prize draw).

A good mix of people attended on the night, at the All Bar One in Newhall Street: a quarter of attendees were from finance, a fifth of people from general management and another fifth from marketing departments, as well as a good spread from IT, KM and HR.

Prize Draw

Patrick Morris from DTZ was the lucky winner of the prize draw on the night. Here he is looking delighted alongside Alister (on left) from FWBS who presented him with a very nice bottle of champagne.

What people thought of the event

"I thought it was a great event and well managed, so my thanks goes out to you for the effort you put into the night to make it such a success. It was a great balance between meeting peers and spending time with suppliers." Dean Hill-Jowett, IT director, Martineau

"The event was really enjoyable, and nice to see that the support staff in the legal sector had a place to meet up. So often we can feel like the bottom of the food chain, as all events are aimed at lawyers!" Jennie Sanders, online marketing manager, Simpson Millar

"It was very enjoyable - thank you. It was extremely beneficial to meet individuals from firms of varying shapes and sizes to discuss matters relevant to our profession. It was a great, relaxed environment in which to talk and I would certainly be in attendance again if there were a similar event in the Midlands." Jon Beaumont, library and information manager, Harvey Ingram
