HighQ case study: Wright Hassall

James Hamilton, Infrastructure & Support Manager at the firm, outlines how HighQ Collaborate has helped Wright Hassall provide more services to its clients and improve internal collaboration. Wright Hassall is a top-ranked firm of solicitors based in Warwickshire, who have been supporting individuals and businesses in the area for over 160 years. Established in 1846, the firm now has over 260 staff and is top ranked in the legal directionaries in 46 areas (25 Legal 500, 21 Chambers UK). Their sector specialisms include lender services, technology, logistics, social housing and retail.

The challenge: Replacing existing inefficient client extranet

Wright Hassall had been using WorkSite Web Interface to share documents with clients directly from the document management system; however, the system did not contain the tools to allow the firm to provide the level of service clients needed.

James Hamilton, Infrastructure & Support Manager at Wright Hassall, described the legacy system as limited: “It provided us and our clients with access to our documents, but not much more,” he said. “We had no client audit trails, no metric data gathering, no bidder rooms; our capabilities were seriously lacking and we felt behind in our technologies and in the services we could provide our clients.”

Hamilton quickly realised Wright Hassall needed a better solution. “We knew that if we were to keep our clients happy and provide them with the level of service they expected, we needed to look at an alternative solution that had all the tools we needed,” said Hamilton.
