Freeths appoint Intelligent Office to deliver its support services

Intelligent Office UK (IO), the leading provider of PA, document production and administrative support services to the legal sector, has been appointed by Freeths to deliver its reprographics, mail and courier, front of house, records management and core goods procurement.

The contract, which went live at the end of March 2018, saw 36 staff transfer to IO from the firm’s Nottingham and Oxford offices.

Peter Smith, CEO at Freeths, commented:

“At Freeths, we excel at providing outstanding training and development for our lawyers and we want our support staff to benefit from the same opportunities.  After considerable due diligence, we decided to embark on a partnership with IO as their commitment to continuous improvement of the provision of the support services, as well as the continuous development of the members of the team through training and management support, was hugely appealing.”

Rachel McCorry, CEO at Intelligent Office, said:

“We are delighted to welcome the transferring staff to the Intelligent Office family.  Freeths’ culture of strong ethics, integrity and entrepreneurial spirit emulates that of our own and we very much look forward to working in partnership over the coming years as we deliver trusted, and high quality, support services to the firm.”

Freeths is the fourth new managed services client IO has commenced working with since November 2017.  The firm joins other new clients Shearman & Sterling and the Solicitors Regulation Authority, alongside another UK Top 100 law firm headquartered in the south-west.
