Leading law firm Lee Bolton Monier Williams drive forward digital strategy, supported by Oosha
Renowned Westminster solicitors Lee Bolton Monier Williams (LBMW) and leading legal cloud provider Oosha have completed the first phase of their new IT partnership, and are now forging ahead with plans for 2021.
LBMW has served clients from its central London offices for more than a century and a half, and is recognised as one of the UK’s leading law firms. They turned to Oosha to leverage their sector-specific IT expertise in order to complement their existing in-house IT team.
Oosha’s remit was to free up their internal team, taking over routine IT maintenance and support, while building infrastructure resilience and disaster recovery to minimise downtime. However, just as the partnership began, the COVID-19 pandemic took hold and Oosha’s onboarding plan and support needed to pivot significantly.
At very short notice, LBMW needed to put a remote working strategy in place, which Oosha was able to support through the implementation of remote desktop servers that virtualised their existing on-premise systems. This migration was critical in helping LBMW stay fully operational with minimum business disruption during the early stages of COVID-19.
Now LBMW and Oosha are working towards an expansion of the firm’s cloud-first strategy, to adapt to the continuing digitalisation of the legal sector. This second phase will focus on the roll-out of a digital workspace solution, which provides a secure, yet highly productive remote working experience. Going live early in 2021, this platform will leverage the collaboration tools of Microsoft Teams and Office 365 – connecting LBMW’s workforce of 80 employees, wherever they’re working from.
