Intapp AML and KYC compliance survey whitepaper
Introduction:
Like our clients, Intapp continually monitors the global anti-money-laundering (AML) regulatory landscape. To gain a deeper understanding of how firms are working to meet the demands of evolving AML regulations, at the end of 2024, we surveyed law firms from around the world about their AML practices.
Our survey results reveal how these firms have responded to regulatory changes, managed and developed their operations and teams, and enhanced their use of technology solutions. Our findings also show how firms are shaping their future priorities and practices. A variety of leaders, including heads of intake, conflicts, compliance, risk, and AML, together with representatives from firms’ office of general counsel, responded to the survey.
The release of the survey coincided with the passing of Australian AML legal changes that go into effect in 2026. AML regulations and cross-border collaboration also continue to evolve in the EMEA region.
In this paper, we share the findings from our survey of international law firms regarding their experiences, views, and approaches to AML, know-your-client (KYC), and client due diligence (CDD) compliance.
