Epigram awarded EcoVadis Gold for sustainability progress
We’re pleased to share that Epigram has been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis for our sustainability performance, moving up from Bronze last year. It’s a meaningful step forward for us, and one that reflects steady, behind-the-scenes work rather than any single big initiative.
For those unfamiliar with it, EcoVadis is a globally recognised sustainability ratings platform used by organisations to assess suppliers across areas including environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics and responsible procurement. Many legal and professional services firms now rely on EcoVadis as part of their supplier due diligence, because it provides an independent, consistent way to understand how businesses operate in practice.
That kind of visibility is becoming increasingly important. Clients are under more pressure than ever to evidence responsible procurement and meet ESG commitments, and suppliers are expected to show not just good intentions, but clear, measurable action. Having an externally verified rating helps make those conversations easier, clearer and more transparent on both sides.
Moving from Bronze to Gold hasn’t been about reinventing how we work, but about strengthening and formalising what was already there. Over the past year, we’ve focused on improving and expanding our policies, tightening up how we capture and track data, and making sure our approach to sustainability is consistent across the business.
This has included work across environmental practices, governance, ethics, and how we support our people – from workload management and wellbeing, to ensuring policies are clear, accessible and genuinely used rather than sitting on a shelf. The EcoVadis framework has been helpful in pushing us to be more structured and more accountable, without losing sight of what’s practical for a busy agency.
As a creative partner to legal and professional services firms, we’re conscious that sustainability isn’t a standalone initiative. It needs to be embedded into day-to-day decisions: how work is planned, how teams collaborate across regions, how suppliers are chosen, and how we deliver work responsibly and at scale.
Achieving Gold isn’t the end of the journey. Expectations continue to evolve, and so will our approach. But this recognition gives us confidence that we’re moving in the right direction – and provides reassurance to clients that sustainability at Epigram is treated with the same care and rigour as the work we deliver for them.
