Harnessing the power of integration with Tikit and InfoTrack

The team at Fisher Jones Greenwood are no strangers to finding themselves at the forefront of legal technology. Founding partners Tony Fisher and David Jones developed their own litigation and conveyancing programs for pocket computers in the 1980’s, coding the software themselves.

They understood the value of great technology to reduce time spent on administrative tasks and reduce pain points associated with legal processes. It’s this knowledge which led them to focus on employing technology into their current practices, designed to grow the firm’s conveyancing department and create greater efficiency in the process.

Employing customisable case managementEngaging Tikit P4W 13 years ago, Fisher Jones Greenwood saw the advantage in the system’s open database architecture which provided an opportunity to heavily customise the product to suit the firm’s needs. Their active user group also provided openings to enable collaboration and feedback opportunities with the case management provider. All features that differentiated Tikit P4W from the competition.

Despite leveraging the benefits that Tikit P4W afforded their operation, the conveyancing process was still disjointed. Each office ordered searches through different providers as well as manually uploading documents to the land registry. With an old system being workflow driven with templated letters and more, there was still a lot of room for error and considerable amounts of time lost to administrative tasks. The firm’s finance department were frustrated with missing disbursements and the conveyancing team would need to manually arrange slips. All these different elements within the process created their own spaces for errors to occur, information to be misplaced and potential loss of disbursements.
