UK Top 50 law firm Travers Smith completes migration to iManage Cloud
Travers Smith, a top 50 law firm in the UK, has successfully completed a six-month migration from NetDocuments to iManage Cloud, using an internal IT team without external support. The team created a migration tool named Hermes and other customised solutions that facilitated a controlled and efficient transition while running a dual-document management system.
Travers Smith’s Chief Technology Officer, Oliver Bethell, emphasised the importance of consistently evaluating the firm’s technology portfolio and selecting iManage Cloud, which provides the best fit for their technology roadmap. The firm focuses on developing highly skilled internal teams rather than outsourcing to consultancies.
iManage’s CEO, Neil Araujo, praised Travers Smith’s achievement in managing the migration independently and delivering 1:1 briefing sessions to ensure a seamless transition. The law firm is using Threat Manager, and iManage reports a 92% monthly active usage of their platform. The successful migration demonstrates the effectiveness of Travers Smith’s teams, and the inclusive approach contributed to high levels of engagement with iManage.
