Avokaado announces two top level appointments
The CLM platform is launched in the Baltics, Nordics, Belgium and the UK
Avokaado, the contract lifecycle management platform, is excited to announce two top level managers are joining the company – important additions to the team to foster the company’s rapid global growth. Nevercode’s Kristian Sägi joins Avokaado as the new Chief Technology Officer and Ben Laas-Billson takes the lead in growth management.
Sägi is a longtime mentor and coach to startups and startup founders to build better products and achieve fast results. In 2005, Sägi co-founded Playtech Mobile, an autonomous division of Playtech, the world’s largest supplier of online gaming software, where he served as CTO for ten years. During that time, the division grew from zero to $100+M in annual revenue.
Sägi most recently co-founded Nevercode, a cloud-based continuous integration and delivery platform out of London, where he served as a CTO in 2017-2019. During that time the company closed a massive collaboration deal with Google for a dedicated workflow automation tool Codemagic for mobile app projects.
Sägi is known to take a deep interest in legal matters, making a legal tech company like Avokaado an ideal challenge for him. “What Mariana and the team have built is phenomenal and I see clearly how the technology drives the change from legacy processes to the new, efficient ones, improving productivity and connection between legal and business. Excited to share the same DNA with the team and transform the sector together,” Sägi commented.
Laas-Billson is a seasoned marketing veteran, having worked with brands, agencies and publishers on engaging their audiences as head of marketing at ad tech startup NEXD. Laas-Billson has been delivering meaningful results, working as a marketing consultant for tech firms of all shapes and sizes.
“The problem that Avokaado solves is something that I’ve wrestled with, personally working as a consultant. I’ve always hated paperwork, everyone does. And I am incredibly excited about more businesses achieving a kind of hassle-free contract nirvana,” Laas-Billson commented.
The appointments come at a time when the platform is launching refined features, like data-driven search options, real-time collaboration, document sharing and versioning. The latter was developed in cooperation with Softbank backed neo-banking platform Zeta. With a fine-tuned platform, Avokaado can focus on increasing sales automation and marketing calibration to prepare for rapid scaling over the next six months.
