Oosha welcomes legal IT expert, Dominik Wakelin from Squire Patton Boggs, as a new Service Delivery Manager

Dominik (Dom) Wakelin joins Oosha from Top 10 UK law firm, Squire Patton Boggs, where he recently held the position of IT Manager.

Starting his career with Anthony Collins Solicitors as IT Support, Dom experienced a great grounding and set himself up for his next move to Mills & Reeve. Here, Dom developed his technical expertise and wider understanding of legal technology, as a member of the project board and technical lead for a BigHand rollout.

After eight years between Anthony Collins and Mills & Reeve, Dom moved to Squire Patton Boggs as IT Manager, and during his 3 years he was involved with several transformative projects, helping to solve wider business challenges using technology as he aimed to “make the lives of their lawyers and support staff that little bit easier”.

Elite tranch

As digital transformation becomes more important within a law firm’s business strategy, Oosha is keen to support their firms in the best way possible. Not just by providing Digital Workspaces, and IT Support to a very high standard.

Also acting as a conduit for law firms to understand the legal technology market, providing advice on how to increase technology enablement, maximising the use of the services they’re subscribed to, and training staff.

In 2019, Oosha made the decision to evolve the traditional Account Management role that so many still use, into a Service Delivery function. Focusing on providing value add, understanding the legal technology market, viewing technology as an enabler, not just something you sell to clients.

Dom’s introduction is a key part of growing the Service Delivery team. He fits perfectly into the strategy as he combines both the technical understanding of legal IT and the pressures that law firms face to digitally transform.

Oosha’s clients will benefit from Dom’s unique skill set as he will become the main point of contact, completing monthly service reviews, providing insight into what’s happening with the sector, and supporting with help and advice on software project roll-outs.

Great to have you joining the team Dom.
