Quill earns Best Companies ‘1 Star’ status 2019

Following a survey completed by all staff, Quill’s achieved ‘1 Star’ status by Best Companies, the organisation behind ‘The Sunday Times Best Companies To Work For’ lists.

Having been voted on attributes such as leadership, management, personal growth, teamwork, wellbeing and community involvement, Best Companies accreditation represents Quill’s enhanced levels of employee engagement and demonstrates how it values its people.

Quill’s success is attributable to positive changes in its management structure with enhanced support and supervision for teams, and clearer reporting lines throughout the company; regular communications including quarterly ‘News, Views & Eats’ roadshows across all regional offices and routine ‘JB’s Update’ emails from its Managing Director, Julian Bryan; introduction of various appreciation initiatives such as wind-down Friday afternoons where free drinks and nibbles are available to help employees get ready for the weekend; and ongoing commitment to charitable endeavours by allowing everyone the chance to join its charity committee, plan and undertake ‘giving back’ activities during Quill time.

A key part of the Best Companies methodology is to learn from survey data in order to device a continual engagement-building strategy which focuses future improvements in the right areas. To this end, Quill’s currently analysing the detail behind its results to identify opportunities for further development in order to make Quill an even better place to work.
