LSN are committed to providing everyone who accesses our website privacy. Under the Data Protection Act 1984 & 1998 we must comply with certain regulations which are designed to ensure that any data you provide to us is processed with due care and attention.
Users can amend information provided at any time by accessing the ‘Amend Login Details’ section within the Candidate Login facility.
Users can access the data held on them by LSN by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. LSN makes a nominal administrative charge, as authorised by the Act, to cover administration costs.
Users details may be transferred to another company if ownership of LSN changes.
From time to time we may send you information about our partners goods and services which we think may be of interest to you. You can tell us to stop this by emailing email@example.com.
We may, on occasion, send details regarding any changes or improvements made to the Services or website or to check your continued interest.
Some areas of the site require you to actively submit information in order for you to benefit from specific features (such as Jobs By Email features). You will be informed at each information collection point what information is required and what information is optional. When you enter such information to receive the services, you will be deemed to have consented to the use and storage of such information in order that you may receive the services.
Some of this information may be personal (information that can be uniquely identified with you, such as your full name, address, email address, phone number etc.). We only collect such information when you choose to supply it to us.
Information is also gathered without you actively providing it, through the use of various technologies and methods such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and cookies. These methods do not collect or store personal information, only information that is freely available and provided by your browser software, Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network.
An IP address is a number assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), so you can access the internet. It is generally considered to be non-personally identifiable information, because in most cases an IP address is dynamic (changing each time you connect to the internet), rather than static (unique to a particular user's computer).
We use your IP address to diagnose problems with our server, pages on the site, report aggregate information, and determine the fastest route for your computer to use in connecting to our site, and to administer and improve the site.
PRIVACY INFORMATION FOR JOB SEEKERS
Profile and CV Information
LSN offers you the ability to create a profile and upload a CV to our database. Your profile and CV may be then made available for searching, viewing over the Internet and downloading by our customers. These may be direct recruiters, employment consultants or other organisations. Customers who request CVs matching your profile may receive your CV and profile via e-mail.
Your CV can only be viewed by a customer if you have consented to this within the Candidate Login section. You can choose to prevent our customers from accessing your personal details, CV or profile.
You can also choose to make your personal details and your CV anonymous, while having your profile available to be searched by recruiters. You can then choose to reveal yourself when you reply.
IMPORTANT: Your current employer may be one of our customers, or a client of one of our customers. We cannot restrict the customers who will access your CV or profile on our database and cannot be held responsible for any eventuality.
If you choose to create a profile and upload a CV to our database, we rely on you to ensure that your details are kept up to date. You should update your CV at least every six months, particularly if your contact details have changed.
We reserve the right to remove from our database CVs or profiles which include any content that we consider illegal or offensive.
When you visit the Website we may store some information (commonly known as a “cookie”) on your computer. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to your hard drive to store and sometimes track information about you. Cookies are specific to the server that created them and cannot be accessed by other servers, which means that they cannot be used to track your movements around the web. Passwords and credit card numbers are not stored in cookies. A cookie helps you get the best out of the Website and helps us to provide you with a more customised service.
We provide aggregate statistical information about site visitors and users to recruiters (such as the number of CVs on the database, or the number of visitors to the site) and for other lawful purposes. We provide this information to customers, advertisers, suppliers and other reputable third parties. This will not include any information that enables them to identify individuals.
We have implemented technology and policies to safeguard your privacy from unauthorised access and improper use and we use secure server software (SSL) to encrypt any financial information you need to input before it is sent to us.
