Over a period of 3 months, law firm employees were sent mock phishing links within email and SMS messages. The data showed that 1 in 4 employees clicked on links that could open up their firm to a hack or data breach.

Steve Whiter, Director, Appurity added: “What these results demonstrate is that despite Cyber Awareness Training, users are still failing to identify suspicious  links within emails, SMS messages or WhatsApp. Employees are often an organisation’s weakest link – which this data supports – so business leaders need to make this a priority or they are risking a major breach.”

“Breaches can happen. That’s why it’s important to make employees aware of security risks, and to protect  devices against malware and spyware – including Pegasus.  These steps are critical for law firms to protect their own, and their clients’ sensitive data.”
