Don’t miss Sysero’s webinar with CEO Phil Ayton on Wednesday, 5th November 2025 14:30 – 15:30 GMT
About Legal Process Mapping:
Legal process mapping is a technique used to visually document and analyse the steps involved in legal workflows and processes. It’s essentially creating a detailed diagram or flowchart that shows how legal work moves from start to finish.
Sysero’s Flowchart Process Designer allows firms to map processes in transactional law (M&A, Real Estate, Loans), litigation (Court Proceedings, Arbitration, Employee Claims etc) and even the provision of advice (GDPR audits, Governance, Insolvency).
Unlike traditional mapping tools, Sysero includes a Form Designer that works alongside the Process Designer to create real workflows in minutes. Knowledge Managers and PSL’s can map the steps for each stage of a process; collect data and ask questions regarding each matter; draw multiple pathways depending on the choices made and output fully formatted documents and emails, saving them directly into the relevant folders in their DMS.
Legal Process Mapping and AI:
Whilst many vendors will offer AI systems that can supposedly create the perfect workflow, Sysero requires subject matter experts to map the process. AI can be used at various stages of each workflow, falling into two categories:
Generative AI (Gen AI)
Foundation models such as ChatGPT use the Internet as their source of information to generate content. Sysero can use AI to interrogate internal content for automatically classifying the contents of a DMS folder using a firm’s taxonomy to classify by the firm’s practices, sectors and types of work.
Gen AI can also be useful when creating content based on a firms existing content. To fully benefit from a firm’s expertise, curated knowledge bases, built using workflows, can be used as a single point of truth.
Agentic AI
Agentic AI is fundamentally about using AI’s in multi-step processes, promising automated workflows to complete complex tasks. This requires a great deal of faith from law firms if it is to be used for client facing work.
At present there is much scepticism about the ability of AI’s to reliably use multi-step reasoning unchecked, so Sysero uses Agentic AI for specific use cases, creating modules designed for certain purposes such as Sanctions, PEPS and Adverse Media checking, Conflicts Checking and OCR metadata extraction of legacy paper documents.
The webinar consists of 3 demonstrations and will last for an hour with 5-minute Q&A’s after each demo.
- Demo 1 – Using Gen AI for auto classification and summarization
- Demo 2 – Using Agentic AI for Sanctions, PEPS and Adverse Media checking
- Demo 3 – Using Gen AI with curated knowledge bases for contract negotiation
