Exizent: Calling all wills, probate estate planning or estate administration experts!

Driven by our mission of improving the bereavement process for everyone involved, Exizent is looking to grow our Research Community to gain insight from legal professionals with direct experience of the problems we want to solve.

We sat down with Jen, Head of Service Design, who has worked in the area of User Research, Experience and Service Design over the last 15 years to learn why the Research Community is important to Exizent and what’s involved when you become a Contributor.

What is the Exizent Research Community?

We’re on a mission to make the bereavement process easier for everyone, and the Exizent Research Community is a panel of professionals who work in the field of wills, estate planning or estate administration and are passionate about influencing and transforming the industry.  If you are involved in this process, we’d love to hear from you and invite you to join our Community as a Contributor.

Why is research such a focus for Exizent?

We want to solve problems that the industry, and people impacted by bereavement face through the development of well-designed solutions and services. It’s important to us that we are continuously learning, growing our collective understanding and responding to what we hear, see and discover.

Our Customer Success and Design team work closely with our customers, who provide feedback that informs our priorities for new product features and enhancements.  We launched the Exizent Research Community to work with professionals in the industry, who don’t have to be Exizent customers. Speaking with our Contributors helps us to involve, and design with, the people that have the first-hand knowledge and experience of the problems.

What does the Research Community mean to you and why is the feedback so important to the development of Exizent?

Designing good services and products is not just about getting feedback at the start of an initiative. It is a constant process of improvement, development, and innovation. We want to design with the people that could use or benefit from the service to make sure not only that we solve their initial problems, but that we continue to provide solutions to new and emerging issues by building them together. By having a dedicated community we can work regularly with experts to do that, and are able to offer them something in return.

Has Exizent changed product delivery/direction based on the Research Community feedback before?

Yes, absolutely. Activities with our Contributors, as well as customer feedback shapes the problems we want to solve, as well as the ongoing enhancements of our features.

These activities can include interviews to learn about their experience of a particular task to discover where the pain points are for them, reviewing and co-designing ideas before as we work on solutions, and testing features before they ‘go live’. As a recent example we’ve been working with our Customers and Community to inform our new Estate Accounts feature, as well as minimising data entry with our Court and IHT forms.

Time is precious, what do Contributors get from joining?

We appreciate your time, and as a thank you, we offer financial incentives for every activity as well as donating on your behalf to one of 3 charities.

Joining the Exizent Research Community is an opportunity to be an expert contributor amongst other like-minded industry leaders, providing your opinion and helping to transform the way in which probate and estate administration is experienced.

We believe in designing with the people that will use or benefit from our service to make sure we solve their problems, and continue to provide solutions to new and emerging issues.

No prior knowledge of Exizent is required to join our community.

What is asked of Contributors?
