WiseTime Adds Support for Clio Legal Aid UK Feature

We’re proud to announce that WiseTime supports Clio instances with United Kingdom (UK) Legal Aid activity functionality enabled.
This implementation allows law firms to properly categorize their work according to the Legal Aid Agency’s standardized coding system and requirements. It enables attorneys to automatically track time against the appropriate Legal Aid codes, streamlining the billing process for Legal Aid work.

This implementation was made for law firms – using both WiseTime and Clio – aiming at easily meeting the Legal Aid Agency‘s strict documentation requirements thanks to purpose-built compliance tools. WiseTime’s time capture functionality provides complete transparency regarding when and how time was recorded against specific Legal Aid codes.
For case eligibility tracking, WiseTime enables tagging matters that fall under different Legal Aid schemes, including civil, criminal, and immigration categories, helping attorneys maintain clear records of eligibility determinations and ensuring only eligible work is billed to the Legal Aid Agency.
WiseTime Delivers Easy Implementation and Allows Access to Legal Aid Specific Codes
The initial setup has been designed to be easy between Clio and WiseTime. Upon configuration, the Legal Aid activity codes will sync direct from Clio into WiseTime. The activity codes can be selected for Timesheet entries and the posted time will sync seamlessly to the matter with the correct Legal Aid code applied. The common UK Legal Aid activity codes integrated include:
- MIAPC (Meeting Including Attendances and Preparation – Client),
- ACPT (Advocacy – Preparation),
- ADMI (Administration).
